Emma is a senior associate in Trowers & Hamlins' Dispute Resolution and Litigation department, which she joined in 2007. Emma specialises in residential landlord and tenant law with a particular bias towards social housing. Emma acts for a large number of RP clients, as well as Local Authorities, Almshouse charities, private investors and developers.  Her caseload is extremely varied covering everything from Town and Village Green applications, to housing management litigation, to leasehold enfranchisement.  Emma qualified as a legal executive in 1998 and as a solicitor in 2012 and she has specialised in housing and property litigation since 1999.

Philip has been working in the south west property market for almost 40 years, having started in sales before transferring to lettings 25 years ago. He has been an active member of both NAEA and ARLA Propertymark over that time; and has been a Board member for the last 5 years. He is passionate about the industry and wants to engage with members and share that passion and pride for what we do.

Landlord Action

Paul Shamplina has spent over 25 years helping landlords with bad tenants. As co-founder he set up Landlord Action in 1999, they are market leaders and longest serving independent company specialising in fixed fee property recovery and tenant eviction in England and Wales.  Landlord Action is Regulated by the Solicitor Regulation Authority.  He has acquired a reputation as the landlord’s friend in the press.

He appears regularly on television, radio and within the national and regional press; as well as speaking at seminars to landlords and letting agents.

Paul ‘s latest TV appearance was on Channel 5’s successful series  ‘ Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords, which was a hit with over 1.5 million viewers.  Paul has signed up for series 2, out in Spring next year.  He is also on the Advisory Council for The Property Redress Scheme and has been advising the Government on a Think Tank on Speeding Up Eviction Process, along with consultation on the Deregulation Act.

Paul has also launched a book called ‘The Landlord’s Friend’, with Property Commentator Kate Faulkner.
