Reforming Housing Law
Professor Martin Partington CBE, Law Commissioner
Law Commission proposals for the reform of housing law were published
in 2002. If enacted, they will reshape the law on the letting market.
This presentation will set out the objectives of the reform proposals,
an indication of how the Commission’s thinking is developing and an
indication of the likely impact on ARLA members.

highlight hot issues and update delegates on new legislation.
Data Protection - not an optional extra

Any, firm organisation or other body holding and using information
about living individuals whether on a computer system or via
structured files needs to comply with the requirements of the Data
Protection Act 1998. This session is aimed at highlighting some key
areas which are likely to affect ARLA members, strategies for
compliance & and the risks of non compliance.

Presented by Steven Pain and Marveen Smith, Painsmith Solicitors
and
joined by specialist residential landlord and tenant barristers.
Through an interactive role-play, this session will illustrate a
practical insight into the workings of the courtroom – what happens,
what can happen and what to expect in a variety of circumstances.

Booking Conditions
Admission to the Conference can only be guaranteed to delegates whose
fees are paid in full at the time of registration. A cancellation
charge of £15 + VAT will be made for all cancellations. No refunds
