Warning, new HR issue fast approaching called
"Olympic-skivi-itis".
It's a fact that, from July 27th until August
12th 2012, there will be more duvet days, increased
sickness absence and, if the sun shines, unprecedented unpaid leave
days.
Statistics have shown that the recession has seen more employees
than ever respecting their jobs and showing unprecedented
commitment for work but this summer's events will be a test for
even the most loyal and motivated of employees. DLP's top two
tips for keeping ahead this summer and ensuring business levels are
unaffected are;
- TV/screen for live coverage in office breaks or lunches or
specific times and controlled showings that can be announced by
memo or email on daily/weekly basis to rally support and show you
care;
- Make it known, in suitable terms, that unauthorised sickness,
lateness or duvet days will be frowned upon and action considered
by the company;
Good Luck to Team GB and we hope you have a trouble free,
enjoyable and uninterrupted summer!.
