Green Deal Secondary Legislation
The secondary legislation required to implement the Green Deal
later this year has this week made progress in Parliament. Five
separate statutory instruments have been considered as a group:
- Draft Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (Amendment) Regulations
2012
- Draft Green Deal (Energy Efficiency Improvements) Order
2012
- Draft Green Deal Framework (Disclosure, Acknowledgment, Redress
etc.) Regulations 2012
- Draft Green Deal (Qualifying Energy Improvements) Order
2012
- Draft Electricity and Gas (Energy Company Obligation) Order
2012
In the Commons, the legislation was
considered by the Second Delegated Legislation Committee, and
approved. The House has also
formally approved the Orders. In the Lords, the Secondary
Legislation Scrutiny Committee
considered the legislation and reported its findings. The
legislation will now be debated in Grand Committee on Monday 23
July.
