To help mark the impact of ten years of Buy to Let investment in the
private rented sector, the definitive guide for Buy to Let investors
will be published again this autumn under the auspices of ARLA, the
Association of Residential Letting Agents, and the CML, the Council
of Mortgage Lenders.
The 2006 edition is to be published by Incisive Communications, the
specialist contract publishing division of Incisive media. This is
the leading magazine publisher for the mortgage industry and its
borrowers. It will be made available through ARLA regulated letting
agents and the CML and its member mortgage lenders and, in a new
departure, it will be available through newsagents with Your
Mortgage magazine. It is hoped to develop new electronic issues to
compliment later editions of the guide.
ARLA and the CML both believe that the Buy to Let Guide, together
with their own websites and their other published information, helps
to ensure that a correct, unbiased and professional overview of the
Buy to Let phenomenon is available free to investors and potential
investors.
The two professional bodies are also keen to ensure that the public
recognises the true meaning and the implications of buying to let.
Buy to Let means borrowing from recognised lenders to invest in
residential property in the UK. This is then let on long term
tenancies. To do this successfully, there are implications of cost
and risk, as well as benefit, that must be understood by the
investing public.
It is with this in mind that ARLA and the CML have welcomed Incisive
as the new publishers of the Buy to Let guide.
