TDS put their money where their mouth is

Staff at the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) have been building their knowledge of the world of residential lettings in a bid to improve customer experience.

By completing the Level 3 Award in Tenancy Deposit Protection and Management from NFoPP Awarding Body, staff at TDS gain a better understanding of lettings and deposit protection, which helps them progress their careers and give an even better customer experience.

Jamie Banner was the first member of TDS to complete the award, and is happy to share his experience with others. Jamie said: “This award is a fantastic follow up to the NFOPP Level Three Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management. It helps you further your knowledge in Deposit Protection and develops your understanding by giving you insight into the way that our independent adjudicators make their decisions.”

This award is great for those in property management, giving staff the confidence and accreditation needed to stay ahead of the competition. The award has been designed to fit in around busy lifestyles, and is the only tenancy deposit protection qualification in the private rental sector market. Designed for primarily for letting agent staff and inventory providers, the course would be beneficial for anyone working in the private rental sector.

Jamie had previously completed his Level 3 Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management, meaning that he only needed to take units 3 and 4 of this technical award. He went on to say, “I believe it would be beneficial to anyone that works with protecting deposits and dealing with disputes, as it gives you an overview of the full journey.”

Steve Harriott, Chief Executive of TDS stated: “TDS has supported this qualification as we can easily see when disputes are being handled by professional and well qualified staff in letting agencies and inventory firms. We want to encourage as many staff as possible to take up this new qualification and to join us in raising standards in the lettings industry.”
