Meet your new ARLA representatives

Thursday 21 January 2016

We've had three new ARLA representatives start in the last month and now it's official, we thought now's a good time to introduce you to them. Including our rep for our newly created North Wales region, set up to make sure our members view are fully represented. Our other new reps will cover region 3 and region 11.

Dawn Bennett (pictured right) takes over the helm from Sally Lawson for Region 3 - Hereford, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire. Dawn has spent the last 10 years in the property sector working her way up from administrator to negotiator, lettings manager and then trainer for Concentric, before becoming the proud owner of her own franchise branch, so she knows the industry inside out. She is qualified to NFOPP Technical Award standard, has a great eye for detail and brings a great amount of experience and professionalism in all that she does.

Dawn also supports franchisees nationwide and oversees the compliance of the management centre as well as managing her own working branch. She spends a lot of her time training and commenting on the compliance and legal structure of the lettings business and ensuring all is on par with correct and best practice.

Dawn loves nothing more than spending time with her daughter going to the cinema and visiting places such as historic riverside town Stourport. She also likes going out for drinks with her friends and discovering new holiday destinations in the UK and abroad. She is fascinated by visiting buildings like Blenheim Palace and really appreciates great architecture, especially since being involved within the property industry.

Sean Nolan (pictured left), your new rep for region 11 - Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire - embarked on a career in residential lettings after leaving further education in 2004. Since joining Your Move Hobin Roberts in Northamptonshire he has been integral to the expansion of their lettings business and now heads up the largest lettings portfolio within the Your Move franchised business.

As lettings director he currently has six branches under his control. Over the years Sean has gained valuable experience in all aspects of residential lettings including acquisitions and portfolio takeovers. Sean has been a member of ARLA since 2007 and takes over from outgoing ARLA representative Charles Orlebar.

Martin Adshead, originally from Prestatyn is your new representative for our newly created region 30 - North Wales. He now lives in Rhyl and is married with two grown-up daughters. He is founder and managing director of Coastalhomes, an ARLA Licensed letting agency which he started in 2007, but his experience in lettings stretches back to 1998. Pre 1998 he has held a wealth of senior roles for a variety of companies.

Scuba diving is a passion for Martin and he is National Instructor of Sub-Aqua Association and a Scuba Instructor Trainer for British Sub Aqua Club.

He's keen to help our members in Wales in whatever way he can and is sure to be kept busy with changes to housing law soon to be introduced in Wales. We'll be adding his photo to the website shortly.

Finally, we like to thank Sally Lawson and Charles Orlebar for their commitment and enthusiasm during their time as ARLA representatives.
