ARLA prompts action on how Local Authorities deal with S.21 notices

Following concerns from ARLA, the Housing Minister Brendan Lewis MP, has issued a letter to all Local Authority Chief Executives clarifying that councils should not be advising tenants who have been served with a valid Section 21 notice to stay in their property as long as possible until they are forcibly ejected by bailiffs or taken to court.
