Promotions Terms and Conditions

General Promotions

  • Confirmation of Promotions purchased are confirmed in email within 2 hours of purchase.
  • All Promotions must be purchased via the applicable website, www.arla.co.uk, www.naea.co.uk or www.nava.org.uk.
  • Promotions cannot be redeemed unless full payment has been received.
  • Promotions can be paid immediately online or by BACS. Payment must be received within 10 working days.   
  • Promotions cannot be purchased on behalf of someone else and can only be redeemed and attended (if training course) by purchaser.
  • Promotions can only be redeemed via the ‘My Promotions’ page of the website, accessed through login details created at registration.
  • Any items accessed via other areas of the website will be charged at the standard rate.
  • All promotions have a clear expiry date. After the expiry date, promotional items not redeemed will no longer be available and will not be refunded.
  • Items purchased as part of the promotion, as long as redeemed prior to the expiry date, may be used after the expiry date; such as training courses.
  • The purchaser is responsible for ensuring the correct package is purchased. Full details relating to the promotion are available on the website.
  • Promotions that include one years’ membership only cover the subscription fee. Any additional fees required, such as the Client Money Protection Levy are not included.   • Examinations do not form part of any promotional package offered and must be registered for and booked via the NFoPP Awarding Body website: http://www.propertymarkqualifications.co.uk/examinations/.

Purchasers can also pay by BACS.

  • You have 14 days from the date payment is made in order to cancel your package and request a full refund.
  • Packages can only be cancelled within the 14 days from the date payment is made if no part of the package has been redeemed.
  • After the 14 days, all packages purchased are non-refundable unless we are unable to deliver any aspect of the package advertised, in which case the specific part of the package that cannot be redeemed will be refunded.
  • Any items not redeemed after the expiry date will not be refunded and can no longer be claimed.

MOL Workbooks  

  • Once redeemed from the ‘My Promotions’ page, the specific study material as described within the promotion, will be dispatched from MOL within 5 working days.
  • The study materials are produced and dispatched by MOL and should be contacted directly if there are specific queries relating to the study material:

  • Personal details are shared with MOL in order for items to be dispatched to purchasers. Details are shared in line with the Propertymark Privacy Policy.

Short Courses

Course correspondence and confirmation  

  • All correspondence regarding bookings including the VAT receipt will be sent to the named purchaser on the booking form.
  • Email confirmation specific to the course will be sent to you within 2 working days of receiving your booking.  Please contact Courses on 01926 417 787 if you do not receive it or any details are incorrect.

Payment / Course material  

  • Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on receipt of booking, as long as payment for the package has been received.
  • No video, tape or digital recordings of course sessions are permitted.
  • Propertymark does not allow use of the material provided for any purpose other than the study of the student.
  • The intellectual property in the course material and the course itself belongs to and will remain at all times with Propertymark or the course provider. No course material may be copied, reproduced or published in any manner whatsoever without the express consent in writing of Propertymark.
  • |Propertymark does not make any representation or warranty that the course materials or the course content will be free of any error or omission. All representations and warranties whether implied by law or otherwise, to the extent not expressly set out in these conditions, are excluded save to the extent prohibited by law.

Courses cancellation policy  

  • Propertymark reserves the right without the prior notice to change the venue of any course and/ or course content or speakers from that described in the literature.
  • Propertymark reserves the right to cancel courses at any time up to one working day prior to the scheduled date of the course where circumstances dictate no alternative course of action; for example under-subscription.
  • Where a course is cancelled in such circumstances, a transfer to the next suitable date will be offered to the delegate. No responsibility is accepted for incidental or consequential loss resulting from such a cancellation.
  • Where delegates find it necessary to cancel their attendance, the course will not be transferred to another date if the cancellation occurs within 20 working days of the course date. Any cancellation must be made in writing by emailing courses@propertymark.co.uk.  
  • Separate and additional cancellation rights (as discussed under Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy above) apply to bookings made by a consumer under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
  • Date of request for cancellation/ transfer will be deemed to be dates of receipt of the request by the NAEA/ ARLA/ NAVA/ ICBA/APIP.

Course details

  • Dress code is smart casual.  
  • Propertymark will not accept responsibility for charges incurred at the venue by any delegate attending short courses e.g. telephone, food, drink.

Limitation of liability

  • Save as expressly set out below, Propertmark shall not be liable to the purchaser, or anyone else for any losses arising out of its breach of contract or negligence including any indirect or consequential losses.
  • The maximum liability of Propertymark shall be limited to the booking fee paid by the purchaser for the booking in respect of which the claim relates.
  • In any event, Propertmark shall not be responsible for any losses which may arise out of matters beyond Propertymark's reasonable control.

Membership

  • If one years’ membership forms part of the promotion, purchasers are responsible for ensuring they meet the criteria for membership before applying.
  • Member grade criteria can be found on the applicable website for NAEA Propertymark/ ARLA Propertymark/ NAVA Propertymark / NAEA Commercial/ ARLA Inventories alternatively please contact the Membership Team on 01926 417 360 to discuss further.
  • Before being accepted into membership, applicants will be asked a number of declaration questions and agree to be bound by the Propertymark Conduct and Membership Rules, the TPO Codes of Practice and to the terms set out in the Propertymark Memorandum of Articles of Association.   • Promotions which consist of one years’ membership, consist of membership subscription fee only. Any additional fees required, such as the Client Money Protection Levy are not included.   • Promotions will clearly state if the membership offered is for NAEA Propertymark/ ARLA propertymark/ NAVA Propertymark/ NAEA Commercial/ ARLA Inventories. Once redeemed the membership cannot be transferred to another division of Propertymark.

We believe it is very important to respect the privacy of individuals. The information we collect and how we use it

To use this website, you only need to give your membership number/student number/other identification ID (provided by us) and password. We do not collect any financial information on this website. We may ask you to complete surveys or questionnaires on the website from time to time. These will always be voluntary, but we may use the information from them to personalise the website and to target marketing to relevant users. We may ask you for your email address if you want us to contact you in this way, to receive updated information, newsletters and other communications. To stop receiving email communication, you can follow the directions in the email or contact us directly using the details below. We may collect management information on our email campaigns, such as whether you have read an email sent by us, when and how many times. We will use this information to improve content and services and to inform groups of users about relevant products and services. 

Who will have access to this information?

We may need to share your information with our service providers and agents for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. We may give information about you or your use of this site to any other organisation unless you have opted out. To opt out, please contact us using the details below. We may give anonymous usage statistics to other organisations. We may disclose personal data in order to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.   • by ARLA to help determine policy and to help improve our services to members; or
  • by third parties that ARLA may give the information to for market research; in this case, the information will only be made available as anonymous statistical reports
