'The chance to interact with like-minded members locally is invaluable. We discuss pertinent local issues and where appropriate raise them at national level. It’s also an opportunity to share best practice and experiences with representatives from all over the country and help give your region a voice, helping to contribute to the policies and strategies of the organisation by discussing on-the-ground realities with the Presidential and Arbon House teams. As a rep, you also gain an insight into how the lobbying process works and the untold amount of work done behind the scenes on behalf of members by David Cox and the team. “I have been a member since 1990 and I have seen many changes within our industry, however I hadn’t considered becoming a Regional Representative until recently and I’m so glad I took that decision. Being a representative for ARLA Propertymark has most certainly given me a competitive edge when dealing with customers and competitors.
“The role is well supported by Arbon House who do a great job making sure venues of choice are booked for Regional Meetings, sponsors are provided and all information is cascaded down to the membership to ensure high numbers of attendees turn up to the meetings.
