Paul Shamplina Founder of Landlord Action and known in the industry as the ‘The Landlords Friend’, will present a seminar on ‘How to attract new landlords and retain them’, this has never been more important, especially  with the impending  ‘fee ban’, coming in next year for agents. With over 25 years’ experience in acting for landlords and letting agents, his seminar is not to be missed.

Now that the Renting Homes (Wales) (Fees Etc) Act has received Royal Assent, Propertymarks Senior Policy Officer, Timothy Douglas will be giving an update on the act and answering any questions you may have.

Landlord Action

Paul Shamplina has spent over 25 years helping landlords with bad tenants. As co-founder he set up Landlord Action in 1999, they are market leaders and longest serving independent company specialising in fixed fee property recovery and tenant eviction in England and Wales.  Landlord Action is Regulated by the Solicitor Regulation Authority.  He has acquired a reputation as the landlord’s friend in the press.

He appears regularly on television, radio and within the national and regional press; as well as speaking at seminars to landlords and letting agents.

Paul ‘s latest TV appearance was on Channel 5’s successful series  ‘ Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords, which was a hit with over 1.5 million viewers.  Paul has signed up for series 2, out in Spring next year.  He is also on the Advisory Council for The Property Redress Scheme and has been advising the Government on a Think Tank on Speeding Up Eviction Process, along with consultation on the Deregulation Act.

Paul has also launched a book called ‘The Landlord’s Friend’, with Property Commentator Kate Faulkner.

Richard has been in the lettings industry for over 23 years, predominantly as a business owner of a small/medium size independent agency. He has been an ARLA Propertymark Board member since 2015 and is passionate about member interests, adding value to membership and the implementation of regulation into our industry. Richard is also a Fellow of the NAEA

Senior Policy & Campaigns Officer, Propertymark

Tim joined Propertymark in July 2015 having previously worked as a Researcher for MEPs and an MP. He helps ARLA Propertymark members understand key policy issues and legislative changes. Tim responds to consultations and attends meetings on behalf of Propertymark to extend its influence with other organisations and the government. Tim has played 200 National League Rugby Union games and is a local Councillor in Rugby.
