Agents high street offices to remain shut to the public

Friday 08 January 2021

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 came into operation at midnight on 7 January 2021 which provides the legal authority for home moves to continue during this period of lockdown.

However, we would like to strongly remind estate and letting agents, that whilst you can carry out your business as per the regulations, offices should remain closed to members of the public.

It is now more important than ever that mitigations remain in place as agreed and as set out in the Department for Communities (DfC) guidance, the guidance for construction/ tradesmen working in other people homes and Propertymark guidance.

The general adherence to these guidelines last year has meant the sector can remain open as it is accepted that it is operating in a low-risk way and continued working to the guidelines will ensure the sector remains open.
