Lauren Scott, Managing Director of Trading Places in Whitley Bay which she took over at the age of 23, was welcomed in as the newest President of NAEA Propertmark, succeeding Mark Bentleywith Kirsty Finney now President Elect. Sure to be a formidable leader, Lauren has a wealth of experience in the industry.
Lauren gave her speech as new president and said that she joined the industry as a Saturday staffer while studying equine science, as her first love has always been horses.
She also said that she took quickly to the profession and embraced her vocation, always staying in her home region of the North East, observing the changing fortunes and regeneration of her hometown Whitley Bay and has always been supported by her professional and the training and information that she sought from NAEA Propertymark helped her on her career journey.
Lauren wants to continue the charitable support started by her predecessors, Mark Bentley, Kate Griffin and David Mackie and thanks to the support of Martyn Baum, one of the trustees at the Arbon Trust, she is organising a sleepout on 14 November to raise money to support charities who are working with homeless people.
