Tenant Shop: updating and evolving

Tenant Shop, a Propertymark Industry Supplier who specialise in utility management to streamline the notification process, resolve billing queries and offer a unique hybrid void solution, show how they’re consistently evolving to ensure the right measures are taken to protect customers and colleagues, and importantly developing new systems and processes to offer an improved level of business continuity.

As the end of September approaches, and what has been an astronomical rebound across the industry since lockdown commenced, it is now a chance to reflect on the last six months, and importantly plan for the six months ahead. The industry is understandably going through a tough period, compounded by the recent Government short-term amendments to regulation. The next six months is pivotal as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

From Tenant Shop’s ‘side’ as a supplier to the industry, it’s been pleasing to see such a rebound in recent months, but with further Government restricted movement imposed, we’re not home and dry just yet. That being said, in such a brilliant (and resilient) industry, hopefully, we will all come out the other side stronger with more robust businesses and ready to thrive!

Within the property industry, businesses are consistently evolving to ensure business continuity and adaptation to new trends, and importantly what is now the ‘new norm’. Over the last six months, Tenant Shop has seen huge take-up of virtual viewings, online contract signing, and digital identity verification, amongst other changes, and with the ever-expanding local lockdowns and restricted movements, we continue to learn daily how our industry will react.

Whilst the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause challenges for the industry, letting agents and their suppliers, there have been some positive moves that have happened over the last few months.

The number of home moves supported by the Tenant Shop spiked following the end of lockdown and we are now seeing this plateau.

Exciting New Products

Our Dynamic Referencing Platform is now live and undergoing phase 1 testing with a small number of letting agents.

The new Rent Guarantee Insurance is available and gaining lots of interest from our customers.

Tenant Shop has also aligned with Legal & General to deliver a combined solution proposition for the rental sector, providing Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, and the newly launched Rental Protection Plan, that has been designed specifically for tenants.

As well as the above, Tenant Shop continues to supply our other services to help tenants to find the best deals for their utilities, including their energy, broadband, and TV.
