Competent agent part B — lettings (virtual training)

This course will look at creating tenancies, tenants’ rights, safety, and discrimination and build on these subjects by introducing the main types of tenancy, as well as a landlord’s repairing and notification obligations.

  • Section 21, Section 8 and other notices
  • Serving notices
  • Non-housing tenancies

Part two:

  • Tenants’ rights
  • Landlord obligations
  • Section 11
  • The Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • The Homes Act

Part three:

  • Discrimination
  • Right to Rent
  • Universal Credit
  • Local Housing Allowance

This course comprises of three 90-minute sessions with breaks in between each session.

Robert Feast FARLA

Robert has been involved in the private rented sector since 1999 working in various positions and currently providing training and consultancy services, specialising in residential letting and property management. He served as Kent’s ARLA Propertymark Regional Representative and is a firm believer in the benefits of training holding both Level 3 and Level 4 Propertymark Qualifications.
