Competent agent part A — lettings (virtual training)

This course is aimed at delegates who are new to the lettings industry and will provide a basic understanding of the requirements of the legislation an agent has to learn.

Part one:

  • What is expected of a letting agent
  • Terms and Conditions of Business
  • Marketing and managing a property
  • Right to Rent legislation
  • Tenant Fees Act

Part two:

  • Basic Land Law
  • Consents to Let (Mortgage Co., Freeholder, Insurer)
  • Tenancy Agreements
  • Terminating tenancies
  • Deregulation Act
  • Renters' Reform Bill

Part three:

  • Tenants Rights and Quiet Enjoyment
  • Protection from Eviction & Harassment
  • Discrimination and the Equality Act
  • Repairing obligations
  • Safety obligations (including gas and electricity)

This course comprises of three 90-minute sessions with breaks in between each session.
